The Hotchkiss Company was established in 1867 in St. Denis (6 km north of Paris) by the American 
weapon producer Benjamin Hotchkiss. The company produced some legendary cars between 
1903 and 1954 winning the Monte Carlo Rally in 1932, 33, 34, 39, 49 and 1950.  The car on the book-
mark is the model Cote d'Azur from 1939.
