Kokeshi Bookmark by Annelore Parot

Kokeshi are traditional Japanese dolls originally made of wood and dating as far back as
 to the Edo period. Nowadays, there are many variations and Kokeshi dolls are popular as
toys, gifts and tokens of friendship. The French illustrator Annelore Parot created a series
of lovely Kokeshi doll images which are used to illustrate several children's books and sta-
tionery. The advertising card bookmark for the Spanish publishing house Edelvives shows
the doll Aoki and is 17 cm high.
