WISSENSTURM | TOWER OF KNOWLEDGE | CITY OF LINZ | AUSTRIA The bookmark served as a gift for the prominent guests from politics and culture at the opening ceremony of the building on September 14, 2007. Wissensturm is a new 15 storey tower with an elliptical footprint erected in the aspiring Austrian city of Linz. It has been created by the Austrian architects Kneidinger and Stoegmueller. The building accommodates the adult education center, the library and the council of the city. Linz has been selected by the European Union as the European Capital of Culture for the year 2009. The bookmark with the exceptional design created by the Austrian graphic designer Wolfgang Lang was commisioned to Mirage Bookmark by the City Council of Linz.
