"A furniture manufacturer's interest should not appear so strange. The table and chair, although common objects are also those most closely connected to reading and study. In addition, the roots of furniture design lie in true culture because it is there that ideas are formed and it is also there that every decision that goes beyond transient consumerism finds a fitting place. Culture is not only passed on orally or by instinctive imitation, but above all through reading and study, hence also through the assistance of such a small object as a bookmark."
